Got time warner but only getting local channels?

I switched from OTA and got basic cable as it was sometimes skipping but now I only get the local channels still! My daughters room gets all the channels on her plasma but the HTPC can only pickup 10 local channels. I used to get all the channels lastyear when I used to have cable. Did everything go encrypted or is something setup wrong?

I have the same issue with Brighthouse, a TWC clone...

I believe channels 1 -99 or so are analog (NTSC), so your tuner can't get them. The plasma has a NTSC tuner which is why it gets them.

My HDHomerun only gets the Clear QAM channels, where my LCD gets the analog as well.

hummm.... I hope I didn't throw away my old NTSC tuner card.... Ohwell I only watch local channels and my daughter only watches kids shows so I still won. I'm surprised they don't broadcase in qam.

Yeah I was a little surprised too when I found it. Picture quality is great on the channels I get. And 7MC is MUCH better then the DVR from BHN.
