Budget fixed 92" screen for a PRO8100 ?

I'm finishing up a basement remodel and now I need to choose a screen. I have a Viewsonic PRO8100 projector mounted on the ceiling 12' back from the wall, 7' off the ground. Due to the location of the in-wall speakers, I am looking at a screen size of about 92", MAYBE 96".

The screen can be fixed - the room won't be used for anything else. It is light controlled - I can make it as dark as I need.

From poking around a bit, it seems like I can spend $300-ish on the 'screen goo' paint, or $1,600 on a DaLite screen. I can't find any middle ground

This does NOT have to be the 'best of the best' - it's a modest home theater, and I have fairly modest expectations.

Sooo, is there any commercial alternative in a fixed-frame screen that costs less than $1,600-ish ? Or anything else I should consider in doing this screen ?

Thanks !

How about Carada? http://www.carada.com/ProductInfo.as...N-SCREEN-H096P They have high quality screens at good prices, I have the 96" pictured here. I also have the Pro8100, it works out great!

Thanks for the quick responses ! I just ordered once of the Focupix screens from htdepot - they have a sale right now that makes it even cheaper - so cheap that it doesn't hurt to try. If that doesn't work out, I will probably give one of the other models mentioned here a try.

Thanks again !

My Focupix 120" 1.3 gain looks fantastic with MY Pro8100. Shooting from a shelf mount 18' from screen. Shipping was FAST and I couldn't be happier! Best of luck!

Does anyone have experience with Tribal Screens? They look nice, and for equivalent sizes, appear to be priced between Focupix (lower) and Carada (higher). I searched for an "Official Tribal Screens Thread" but came up empty...?

look at one of the " shoppingdeals" on E-bay { that is the sellers name I believe on e-bay} He lives fairly close to me ,and I have used a few of his screens on installs. they have velvet rapped borders and are fairly easy to put together. They have a good image to them and are very competitive with the 400~900 range. I have used one with the Vewsonic 8100 and thought it was a excellent match. One note....It can be put together by one person but two makes it WAY more easy to tighten and remove any winkles
