Hi!
I have a problem with my Geforce 9500GT card, specially with the tv output.
I have a LG 42LH30 tv set.
I was toying with the video output to test different videos, etc.
Automatically detected in the nvidia output panel for the hdmi connection were:
1080i NATIVE
1080p Recommended
1080i were 1920x1080, 60hz, 32-bit color.
1080p were 1920x1080, 24hz, 32-bit color.
I used the extend function of dual-view, and i was able to choose between 1080p and 1080i on the nvidia control panel, leaving my pc panel at 1680x1080 (connected via vga), allowing me to display 24p movies and 60fps interlaced material without judder and artifacts on the tv.
Toying with the settings i deleted accidentaly the 1080i res.
Now i only have 1080p 24hz in dual view for the tv.
If i try to put it to 60hz, it goes to 8-bit color depth. Putting it in 32-bit color takes the scan frequency back to 24hz.
If i put the dualview off, and output only to the LCD tv, i can put it in 1080p 60hz 32-bit with no problem, but loosing my multitasking ability (i use to display the usb TDT receiver no the 2nd screen for example).
I tried removing drivers, cleaning registry, everything, but when in dual-view extend desktop mode, the only option i have is 1080p/24.
If i try to create a custom resolution with 1080i 60hz, when i try to select "interlaced" it instantly goes back to progressive.
For playing games is no problem, nview dualview disabled, only one display and output to hdtv: 1080p/60hz and the games run ok.
But for anything that is not displaying movies un 24fps, nview in dualview at 1080p/24 is unusable, the mouse cursor jitters, videos at 30fps and interlaced videos look bad, etc.
Im running latest 197.45 driver.
What can i do?
Thanks in advance!!
Gonzalo
