Dropping Dish subscription package and keeping the HD package

I have not called Dish yet...but I was wondering.....

I am currently subscribed to Dish and I have the 200 channel subscription package and the HD Silver package.

I rarely watch SD channels and AMC and TCM are going to be offered by Dish in May.

Is it possible to cancel the 200 channel subscription package and just keep the HD package ? The only channel on there that I would lose would be IFC and I only watch a movie on there about once a month.

I would probably save 50 dollars a month if I could drop it.

Can someone do that or do you have to have a subscription to a channel package ?

I did and there was nothing related to it.

I was trying to get an unbiased opinion.....
