Polk Lsi vs Definitive Technology Mythos ST

Thread Starter
I have read a few of the threads on here and would like some more opinions on these fine speakers.

I currently own the Polk Lsi 15, Lsi C and Lsi FX's with a PSW110 for my sub. The system is currently being powered by an Onkyo TX-SR805, which powers them pretty sufficently for my small condo.

Here is what I am considering doing and the question that I would lioke some advice on. I have the opportunity through my work to get a hold of the DefTech Mythos ST's for an unbelievable deal. I love my Lsi's, but the M-ST's are so much small and less power hungry. Would I be happier with the M-ST's and my current receiver or would I be happier buying a decent power amp or upgrading my sub and wiring the fronts in through the sub?

Thanks for the advice on my first thread.

totally different sounds, depending on what you like, make sure hear them first before you buy because the 2 are at the opposit ends of the spectrum. If i were you, i get a super sub if you like what you have now.

Stick with what you have and put the money to a much better higher end subwoofer

If you really do love your Lsi speakers you should stick with them.
If you are really kinda thinking they are bright maybe even harsh sounding when you apply a little volume then find the Def Techs locally and audition them for a few hours to see if you prefer that sound.

I owned the ST for a short time, and they are quite impressive. I would at least give em a listen. I powered em with the 805 as well.

Thank you for all the thoughts. A new sub is exactly what I have been thinking that I am in need of. Only reason I have the PSW110 is because I got it for $50 and for my condo is more than enough bass. Neighbors already hate me enough.
