I am trying to choose between either the panasonic 42" g25, 50" g25, or the 50" lg pk550. I started out with a Samsung C450 42", because the tv is going to be used in a small apartment, and I am sitting pretty close, maybe 6 feet, but I am not happy with it for various reasons. I find the glare to be really annoying, even at night if there is minimal light in the room. Anytime there is a dark color on the screen, I see my reflection...So I was set on getting the 42" g25, because I think it will be better overall than the samsung, and having looked at it in stores, I think the glare reduction is pretty great for a plasma. Then I realized I could get the LG for slightly less $ than the Panny, and I am thinking maybe it's worth it. However it seems to have a reflective screen, and I am worried it will be just as bad as the Samsung...I can tolerate a little of it but no to the extent of the Samsung. The 50" g25 is an option, but I really don't want to spend the extra money. For a 6 foot viewing distance, should I just get the Panasonic, or should I get the bigger LG and take the risk about the glare?
