Build an home Audio system for under $1000? - Page 3

I have had the Samsung PN50B650 Plasma screen for about a year and I couldn't be happier. For half the price of the Sammy 8500, I would bet the Samsung PN58B850/860 would give you just as good or better picture quality and a better viewing angle. Not to mention an extra 3" screen size. I would put that extra money into something that would make more of a significant difference.

How much did you pay?

I paid $1399 for my PN50B650(50 inch model). The model I quoted (PN58B850/860) is the 58" version of the one I have runs right around $1999. I was assuming you were talking about the new Sammy 8500 which runs around 4 grand. Now I might be thinking you were talking about the 2009 model. Either way I would take a look at the plasma, excellent TV for the money.

Which speakers did you end up with?

MARTIN LOGANS. Idk. Had no intention of getting em but the guys at work said they'd be perfect and I could get em cheap to. So I got it. Sounds great.
