Can't decide between several camcorders!

Hi!

I am looking forward to buy a new pocket video camera but can't find the best one. I have several options: Creative Vado HD, Flip Mino HD, Kodak Zi8, Sony MHS-PM1/5. In my case price doesn't really matter so much! I am more interested into quality and size, and it would be great to have a photo camera as well, in addition to video camera! As far as I know, the first two (Vado and Flip) doesn't have still image photo cameras, whereas the last 3 have. About quality - Kodak and Sony seem to be the only one that can record 1080p videos, but when it comes to the size, Vado and Flip are better. Of course there are other features that I take into consideration, but these are the main ones!

Can someone help me to decide? Maybe there are some other pocket video cameras that I haven't heard of and that meet my demands. As I said, I am looking for something small with good enough quality and maybe a photo camera as well.

You should look at the new Sanyo CG20. It meets all of your requirements and is a 10MP camera as well. It's a replacement to the CG10 and sells for about $180. I would recommend that you shoot at 720p because 1080p taxes most computers when editing and small pocket camcorders have small lenses that distort the image at 1080p. I really like my Sanyo HD1010 but it's too big to fit in a pocket. There is also the new Sanyo CS1 that is tiny. It sells for around $267. Hope this helps.

As someone that owns the Flip Mino HD 2 gen, the Vado HD 1st and 3rd gen, the Sanyo CG10 and 2 Kodak Zi8's here are my opinions.

For the very best video quality my Vado HD 3rd generation is the best of all of them and it also takes still shots,,,, the Vado HD 3rd gen is also better than the other cams for low light shooting,,,, and the wide angle lens on the Vado just blows the other cams away, the Vado's wide lens really is a huge plus over the other cams.

My Zi8,,, a great cam and has the most and best features,, very good video and just OK still shots.

My Mino HD 2nd gen, very good video as well but the big plus for the Flip Mino 2nd gen is its size and ease of use.

My Sanyo CG10,, the best feature is the rotating LCD screen, the video is also very good but have not tried the still shots.

All these cams have their pros and cons but you would be happy with any of them if you choose by the features you want.

My picks in order are:

1: Vado HD 3rd gen
2: Kodak Zi8
3: Flip Mino HD 2nd gen
4: Sanyo CG10

Hope that helps a bit.

Cheers

Thanks, man!
Vado HD 3rd gen definitely wins when we talk about the size and more or less about the quality, but the thing is that Kodak Zi8 is a little bit cheaper than Vado HD 3rd gen and it has much more options than Vado HD 3rd gen doesn't have, like 1080p video recording option. Vado 3rd also has this thing that many people don't like - too sensitive buttons that always comes in the way of main button. Anyway, overall I am quite impressed with Vado products.
About Sanyo CG10 - I don't know how it is in reality, but from the videos and the pictures I have seen, I am not sure if it fits in my pocket...
Of course I am not saying that Kodak Zi8 is perfect, but lately I am thinking that it could be my best choice. One thing I don't like about it, is it's size which seems to be pretty wide!
Another interesting pocket camcorder is Samsung HMX-U10, because it has 10mp still image camera and full HD 1080p video camera, and it is even cheaper than Kodak Zi8! Has anyone heard about that?
