Help with Samsung HW-C560S/PS3 audio problem.

I have my PS3 hooked up to the Samsung receiver through HDMI. When I am in the PS3 menu, playing a game, or watching a movie transferred to my hard drive the audio cuts in and out. Yet when I am watching a Blu-ray the audio is perfectly fine. I have been toying with all the settings but no joy.

Why would the audio work for a Blu-ray movie but nothing else?

After playing around with it some more I think my Receiver is just messed up.

I switch the HDMI cable from BD/DVD slot to the AUX slot and the audio worked fine, never cut out, but the video was cutting in and out!

So then I switched it the the SAT slot and everything works fine!

Am I missing something? Shouldn't all the HDMI slots work the same?

i have the same system and the same problems. it'd quite simple. the system is crap. the hdmi boards inside are rubbish. i am on my second receiver, same system, same problem. never buying samsung again.

Same issue with the same equipment. Samung reps have no clue about this issue!!

Their "solution" is that I hook up all of my devices to the tv via hdmi and use an optical cable to connect the tv to the av receiver for sound. Yes, it works but I expect a brand new system to work flawlessly.

I've hooked up a ps3 and a samsung bd/DVD player to the receiver via hdmi and then connected it to the tv via hdmi, the audio/video keeps cutting out...definitely a faulty system.

Just got off the phone with an agent who suggested I send in the unit for repair but I'm hesitant because I'm expecting no fix...
In the end, I believe I'm just stuck with this faulty & crappy av receiver!!

If anyone is still paying attention to this thread, I just purchased and hooked up this same system. I am having the same issues, and from doing some reading and trying out every possible setting on the receiver, I decided to post a thread:
