Is BLOPS worth getting now? If a lot of AVSers are still playing it I might get it. Toys R Us has it for $29.99. With the $10 for $20 coupon I purchased I could get it for $22.75.

But then you need the map packs too.... when I played the other day Pill didn't have the map packs which are actually better than many of the launch maps (excluding Nuketown & Firing Range).

I hate Nuketown. Its just mayhem. I'm better w/ a couple seconds to collect myself.

Bite your tongue! That map has probably had more votes than any 3 maps put together! Firing Range, Hanger 18, Hotel, and Zoo are also a blast.

I just hate hate HATE spawinging into grenades, or running down the three alleys to end up on the wrong end of a noob tube, grenade, or somebody lying down that I can't see but whacks me anyway.

Call me old fashioned, but I want to see my enemy and die mono y mono. :P

I'm with ya. I always hated Nuketown too.

Just dropped 90 kills on nuke town-- no helicopter (spy plane, counter spy plane and napalm). The napalm got me a multi at one point but almost all my kills were with a rapid fire mp5. Of course... I also died 30 times but who's counting? Lol! The POINT was I was capping/defending flags like a BOSS in order to get that W! 8)

Did I mention we were down by 70 at one point? Lololololol!!!

lol! I am still level 80 in mw3 and I am leaving it there. However, I am ready to play BLOPS with you guys anytime. MW3 just gets worse with every update.

We played this late Saturday night and it was a blast. But alas, there are a handful of core guys I play with that refuse to stop playing MW3 until they get to 10th. I'll be playing BF3 until they're ready.

That was so much fun. I forgot how much I loved blops. I'm trying to knock out these 10 prestiges as fast as I can. Then we will return to the promised land.

Seems like some of you are playing mw3 just for the sake of completing it. Kinda like how I had to watch Lord of the Ring trilogy for the sake of completing it

In the same boat. I want to hit 10th since I've never done it in a COD game but I'm really over MW3 even with the new maps... just kinda blah with it. Blops held my interest much longer and I'm looking forward to messing with BF3 more but so far the learning curve for any of the modes with vehicles is a big turn off and is keeping me in TDM.

Once I knock out the 10th on MW3 I will probably be dividing time between Halo and BF3 with some blops on the side.

I am going for 10th as well on MW3, its the first game I can actually reach the last prestige, but I am actually enjoying the game. Now if MW3 would actually have a double xp weekend, it would speed things up for me

I was playing a little blops last night to test on the 3D on my new TV and I dunno...I just don't think I can go back. It's still a good game, but MW3 is just plain better to me. Some of the interface stuff is way ahead in blops, and I'm not crazy about the maps in either, but as far as the core balance and variety of guns, streaks, perks and equipment - MW3 has it beat on both ends.

Blops is still different enough that MW3 doesn't make it feel obsolete like it does to MW2. But I'm more looking forward to blops 2 incorporating some of the better ideas from MW3 and innovating on its own, rather than looking back to playing more blops 1.

Played a little Blops Firing Range 24/7 yesterday. Good gracious do I miss this game. You can actually see your enemy, not a bunch of crap blocking your view and your path, just pick up your gun and go get somebody. I think Im gonna pick this back up!

We have been playing it again and it's great. I really miss it, but the bad thing is if the other team is losing they don't stick around anymore. Almost every match the entire team leaves.

Yep and the a$$ whippings we were handing out Sat night people didn't hang for long except for the 3 time Dog/Chopper Gunner combo (in one game) buc threw out there on those poor fellas.

Yeah, great games this weekend. I have never seen so many people quit against our team, it was nuts.

Good fun playing with you guys the other night. I think we had at least 2 CG's, and 2 dogs waiting in line at any given time after the 2:00 mark of each match. Good stuff.

fun nostaglia night on Friday. Loved the 24-7 firing range. We did run in to a guy cheating on free for all but besides that it was a good time.

Dude, it was a Blops WEEKEND. They did double XP, so we played some all 3 days. Lots of fun.

After playing several matches on MW3 with a couple friends last night and having the worst lag comp crap ever I decided to play a good game.... oh my what a stark difference in fun factor!
