Help, just moved, new DVR problem :(

well i have an htpc which is pretty nice, i use DVI out with just a stupid stereo pc audio cable b/c whenever i bought the video card... HDMI was just starting to get crazy popular for pcs (2004-2005ish?) video card is a 8800 GT (nvidia) works great, plays crysis so whatever not the problem in this scenario..

anyways i have a hauppauge 1800 which apparently u can hook up this way


WALL COAXIAL->CABLE SET TOP BOX->HAUPPAUGE CARD

but the problem is the set top box only does component or HDMI out...
i mean i know the card can descramble some channels but i think i need to use the set top box to descramble the rest... any suggestions? i mean i could do s-video which can take a composite video converter but then i cannot do HD... what do i dooooo!!!!!!!!!

not only that, is it looks like no cards are capable of being able to utilize true 1080p hdmi as a tv tuner.... weird, this does not make sense i will see if the cable company has a set top box with a cable in and a cable out instead of an hdmi out...
