Maybe so, but I really liked the two hour like finale, even if it was two unique eps, they fit well together and I enjoyed it. Nice ending, especially knowing it is coming back.

Oh, I enjoyed the episode, haven't watched the finale yet - burning the last three to DVD right now, just wanted to vent about the unneeded (IMHO) delay and avoid spoilers for those who haven't watched them yet.

as far as the finale goes, I won't comment yet since some still haven't seen it but it is pretty good! a lot of the mystery is answered. not sure how they go to a season 4 from where it ends or what would be in a season 4, but that's the magic of a paranormal-fantasy-mystery...they can do anything biggrin.gif

this show has been a guilty pleasure since its beginning & I'm looking forward to the fall for season 4.

IMHO, SyFy almost did a butcher job on this season with lapses, Eureka showing up instead, etc. Comcast kept flagging nearly every week's episode as a repeat so if I didn't manually set the DVR, I would have missed recording most of the episodes. I don't know if that was Comcast's fault or SyFy's bungling of how they marked the schedule but it was annoying. this never happens on any show I set to record (and I record a lot!) and never on previous seasons of Haven, so it's suspicious that all of a sudden, it happens to Haven...it wouldn't surprise me if it was another example of SyFy incompetence.

Is it Episode 13 on amazon instant video? http://www.amazon.com/Reunion/dp/B00B2LLBLS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1360966240&sr=8-6&keywords=Haven+on+instant+video
Yes, episode 13 was the season finale.
The finale was pretty wild and we got several mysteries partially answered. Though the finale's ending is so wide open, that the writers could do almost anything with it next season.

Wow....some episode.

Looks like the writers had some fun with this one.

Maybe we'll see Audrey (or her reincarnated persona) show up in 2077 or there abouts when Continuum starts out. biggrin.gif

FYI that last 2 episodes just appeared on Hulu if you need to catch up.

Eureka's sheriff makes 'mysterious' move to Syfy's Haven as S4 regular

Sheriff Carter is back (well, kind of)! A familiar face will be showing up in Haven next season as a former Eureka star has signed on for a season-long arc on the Syfy series.

Colin Ferguson, who played Sheriff Jack Carter for five seasons on the beloved series Eureka, will be headed to Haven once the new season premieres. Ferguson will play William, a “handsome, mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda” leads him to Audrey Parker (Emily Rose).

[Possible spoilers ahead.]

The third season ended on a pretty massive cliffhanger, and Deadline reports the season premiere will pick up six months after the finale, which saw the town nearly destroyed by meteors and Audrey finally face her mysterious origins.

Ferguson could always play the slapstick off with a bit of believable drama, so it’ll be interesting to see what he can do with a more series tone.

Production is actually ramping up today in Halifax, Nova Scotia, so hopefully we’ll have a peek or two at the new season soon.

Are you glad to see Ferguson back in action on Syfy?

1st three seasons are now on Netflix for anyone interested.

I just re-watched the season 3 finale episode on Netflix to get ready for tonight's season 4 opener. I'm glad I did because there is no way I would've remembered everything that happened.

Rats! I could have swore that I looked there before I "bought" them on Amazon last week.

I think they just added them the other day.

I really liked the season opener. Looks like they didn't miss a beat.

I like the new girl, not sure how long she'll be around though. Definitely not digging Emily Rose's new hairdo, liked her as a shorter haired blonde better. Might have been the dark lighting in the bar.

Also, I guess I should have watched the last few episodes as I don't remember Vince being the head cheese of the Guard, was that established last season?

They showed that during the last episode of season 3. The guard showed up at the barn to make sure Audrey went in. Vince came up and told them all to go home and admitted that he is in the guard and they have always worked for him. Duke said "What does this mean for us?". Vince said "I'm not going to kill you Duke. In fact I'm the reason the others never went after you, and believe me they wanted to."

Thanks for that reminder, I do remember that now! smile.gif

I watched the last 2 episodes of season 3 on Hulu for free. That was a few days ago. They had the last 4 or 5 episodes free but there was a charge for older ones.

What I recently started doing was saving the last episode of the season for some programs, such as Falling Skies. I figured I'd have to look at these again next year in order to refresh my memory.

They need to take a page from AMC and show a marathon of the previous season when the new season is about to begin. Instead they usually show a marathon of the entire season right before the season finale, which is nice also, but I think they could possibly get more viewers on opening night if they would run the previous season prior to the season opener.

Holy, what happened to Emily...

I hope that was all makeup, but I fear it wasn't. She looked like she almost doubled her weight compared to the previous seasons.

She had a baby at the end of April so give her a chance to work it off.
Ah ok.

I doubt she was/is able to work it off during the shooting.
Anyway, looks odd. She was slim and fit throughout all seasons. Quite a character change now. Maybe they should have waited until she got back in shape.

Hey, you don't know what happens to you when you go through the Barn. Her hair color changes. Why not her weight?

It sounds like you don't have kids or are married with a wife? One day you will be in a position to understand it's always not about "looks", and weight. ("If Mother nature doesn't get you Father time will") I noticed they had her "hidden" in the shots. She's going to have to show us eventually.

That goes for ones personal life, yes.

But this is a TV show, and it is all about looks. This show would have only half the ratings if the main characters wouldn't be that attractive (that goes for both, female and male of course).

BTW, I always wondered how contracts for series are set up with leading actresses about getting pregnant (or generally changing the body looks, gaining or loosing weight etc., which counts for actors too).
