The scenery was nice and a detective who can't feel pain was fairly fresh but the rest of it was just a vacuum.
Only a handful of characters, a town that hardly has a whiff of mystery beyond an old photo, no memorable points of interest or quirky oddball characters beyond the newspaper guys (who were not that odd) ...
I must have missed it but how did the Fed heroine instantly jump to the conclusion that the obvious solution was that De Boer could control the weather? Is she an X-Men fan?
