I'm still watching and actually liking the show, I'm seeing some chemistry develop between the two leads. No Duke tonight, I can live with that, I hated the development with Nathan's new interest

I saw a comedy skit on The Soup about this past week's Haven.
The guy on the boat getting all twisted up in a demonic possession. .gif of that? lol
I've been drinking, btw

Edit: Not to interrupt your thread with drunk ramble

We like the show for what it is, but at times the endings leave us scratching our heads. Like these people promise they will not use these abilities again? Are these abilities only available in the Haven area and will they ever begin to try to unravel what it is about Haven that is causing all this wierdness? There can be so much more to this show then what there is and hopefully it does get explored in the future.

It has been getting better ratings than Stargate Universe and Caprica so I hope it does get a renewal for a second season to see if it is leading anywhere.

There's only three more episodes according to epguides.com, so there isn't a whole lot of time left to explore the cause of the troubles. In a normal series with 22 episodes, this is where they would start exploring the mythology.

The last episode is called THE TRIAL OF AUDREY PARKER so not sure if that will set up anything. Did this show have a 20/22 episode commitment or just 11?

Actually it's scheduled for 13 episodes, the 11th show(The Trial of Audrey Parker) is the last one with a known title. There should be two more episodes following that one. If you check Syfy.com/schedule you'll see it's scheduled for two more episodes, but the title of the show is missing. The ratings are good enough, I don't see any reason that it won't finish it's scheduled 13, I will be surprised if the show isn't renewed. We'll probably be able to tell more about the ratings, when it's on it's on with no Eureka lead in.

I can't help it, I still like this show, it's not great, but it's Friday night Sci-Fi. I'm even able to stand Duke now. It appears we have a new ME.

Syfy Renews 'Haven' For Second Season
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com's TV Editor - October 7th, 2010

Syfy has picked up freshman original series Haven for a second season with a 13-episode order. Haven, based on Stephen King's novel The Colorado Kid, stars Emily Rose as FBI agent Audrey Parker who takes up residence in the small town of Haven, Maine and soon discovers the town's many secrets. Entertainment One produces the series, whose second season will start production in the spring for a summer 2011 premiere. Scott Shepherd runs the show and is executive producing with the pilot's writers Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn, Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller, John Morayniss, Noreen Halpern and Laszlo Barna.

Yep, me too. Season finale tomorrow and Sanctuary starts in the time slot the following Friday. I'm glad we're gonna keep some Friday shows on Syfy.

I don't watch wrestling, how long does it run, does it run most of the year or does it have a season?

I have no idea, like you, I have never, and never will watch wrestling.

Forget the season length ... worry about "live" overruns ... DVR users beware!

Is it usually a few minutes(5 or less) or does it get carried away, just wondering how much I need to pad, another thing I wonder is how far down the line it will affect programming, as in the 10:00pm show starts late, will the 11:00pm, 12:00am shows be affected, just wondering when things get back on schedule.

I've only seen it twice (on the Tuesday schedule.) The max overrun was ~8 minutes, so I'd pad by at least 15 minutes to be "safe." I was picking up the early AM/Westcoast repeats after the 'raslin.' Treat it like you would treat Sunday evenings on CBS ...

I can't treat it like CBS on Sundays, I do plan on watching

I doubt it will pose a problem for me, since I usually watch the Syfy programs in real time(usually wait about 15 minutes or so after the start and then start watching from the buffer). I do like that about Directv, if you are recording something you can change to the channel anytime before the recording is finished and keep the buffer intact for that channel.

Whoa! Didn't see any of that coming!

Nice bookending with "What am I going to do? Pull out another gun?"

I hope the writers have a plan and aren't just throwing things out there with no end game in sight.

Yeah, without a doubt there were a lot of reveals last night, the Chief, the other Brother at the newspaper talking pretty tough, Nathan's real dad, Medical Examiners daughter and what has she got going on with Duke and then of course the WTF ending.
Yes, great episode. They revealed so much and still set themselves up for all sorts of different directions. Was that the last episode for this season? I hope not. Can't wait to see where we go from here.

It was the season finale, so no more until late next summer.

IIRC, it runs year-round. Which is one reason it's always been popular cable fare (besides good ratings) - runs weekly w/ no repeats.
I have to say, at the beginning of the season I had my doubts about how well this show would do, but I'm very glad I stayed with it as it's turned out to be one of the most unique shows on TV, can't wait until next season.
Did know that was the season Finale. Glad to see it has been renewed.
I waited until the end to decide if the show was worth watching - just finished it.

I loved seeing that Brian Downey/Stanley Tweedle is still around.

I felt through most of the series that there was something missing - like an unaired pilot that actually mentioned "The Troubles" and there seemed to big jumps between episodes. Maybe there was a lot left on the editing floor or they intentionally moved the timeline forward - or it could be my perception since I saw them all back-to-back.
Just finished watching the finale (I record all episodes then watch back to back). Very strong finish. Can't wait to see what powers the newspaper brothers have. Loved that they finished the way they started with the "real" Agent Audrey Parker quoting one of the very first lines of the series.

But, is this the real Agent Audrey Parker? Who is Audrey/Lucy's FBI boss really? Is Audrey really Lucy? If so, where has she been for so long? How does Julia hide her tattoo? What caused it to briefly appear and then disappear again? How did the Rev get his groove back and who are his "friends" who will decide who will be chief?

Good thing this show was renewed.
