Onkyo Receiver HT-R667

Thread Starter
Hey all,

Im looking at buying a Onkyo Receiver HT-R667 used for 350.00 can anyone tell me if this is a decent amp. It came with the HT-6100 setup. Currently running a Yamaha 6130, will there be a noticeable difference?

Thanks.

That's too much for a used 667 when you can get a new Yamaha 765 for $399 or a Denon 1910 under $400 also.

Or even the Onkyo 607 refurb for $320 shipped.

The 667 doesn't do any conversion of analog inputs to HDMI and the version of Audyssey 2EQ is less than that of the Denon 1910 which Audyssey Multi EQ.

The 667 is better than the 6130 since that model doesn't do any HDMI audio decoding but I wouldn't pay that much for it since you can get new receivers with warranty for the same or less. It probably has a little more power that than 6130 too.

You should look at the new receivers from Pioneer such as the 820 and 920 or the Onkyo 508 also if you want to be ready for 3D video in the future.
