Yeah Jeff, come on man. I've had these things for what 6 weeks now and my house is still standing (as far as I can tell there is no structural damage) and no neighbors have filed lawsuits. I thought you said these would put an end to my upgradeitis .

Problem is that you can no longer hear the door bell when the lawyers and police stop by

Humm, interesting point.

So, how about some pictures of the enclosure and drivers for the AV voyeurs lurking about. Might as well include some drawings so the DIY'ers will have an easier time ripping off the design.

Sounds like you need a couple monoliths tuned to 10Hz!

RMK,

Have you used your new measuring equipment to see what type of response you are getting in your room?

Iam interested to see what spl numbers the orbit shifter is giving you down below 20hz.

I have one on the way.....thinking about a second

Actually as it turns out Jeff was right ... your mention of Monoliths didn't even arouse my curiosity so he has cured my upgradeitis with the latest Triple 12 HT's BETA (new compression driver/crossover) and the Orbit Shifters.

I have not, too much life getting in the way of my hobby. In any case my measuring tools won't show below 15Hz ... but that is fine as I am looking to tweak the audible frequencies. The measurements Jeff took in my room (above) pretty much tell the tale and show they are flat down to 7Hz or so. The OS's are the most impressive subs I have ever heard (in all respects). The more I use them, the better they sound from a quality/quantity perspective.

BTW, Clash of the Titans has a terrific DTS-MA audio track and is a real bass tester. Of course as a movie it is "Greek Mythology For Dummies" but for most of us here it is tolerable just for the sound.

If you haven't done so, "Percy and the Lightning thief" is also another very bass heavy sound track and I just saw it yesterday and even with my humble dual SVS PC12+, it still rocks like crazy. I just can't imagine you play that with your dual OS!! BTW, it is also about Greek gods

+1 - that was a serious LFE-fest. Movie isn't great, but, the sound is quite impressive... RMK! - I'm thrilled for you to have found your ultimate setup. One day I might unload my "name-brand" mains for Seaton or JTR actives, but that will have to be when the $$ starts flowing again...

BTW, any new pics or new configurations?

Isn't the Lightning Thief and Clash of the Titans essentially the same movie. Same characters different plot?

Thanks for the response RMK....Triple 12 BETA, these are regular 2010 12's right

Not quite the same character... Lightning thief is about Posideon son, and Clash of the Titans is about Zeus son... So, they are all greek gods/demigod, but they are different... Zeus son does not exist in Lightning Thief, nor Posideon son exist in Clash of the Titans...

Does anyone know when Orbit Shifter will be shipped, Jeff.... anyone???
I believe he mentioned a few posts back that the cabinets would be done by the end of this week, not sure if he is still on schedule.

Thanks for the pictures Jeff.

I see an alpinestars racing suit in the background, what kind of motorcycle racing are you into Jeff?

If you like your bikes the same way you like your speakers you proabably have one decked out liter beast.

I have a little 600cc R6, thats me on the left and my buddy on his brand new Honda fury, he sold it after a month of having it, he's back on his cbr 1000

Cool. R6's are great bikes. Come out to the track. I quit racing when I started JTR and now coach for NESBA when I have free time

So that’s what the Orbit Shifter looks like…

Honestly, we installed them so quickly and then placed the Triple 12’s on top of the Great Grammas, on top of the OS’s and then grilled them off from the room that I forget they are there except when they rock my little HT world (which they most certainly do). They sound so good I have been reluctant to touch anything about the setup including moving them around for photo ops.

I am very happy that others will finally get to experience and report on what these truly world class subwoofers can do for both music and HT.

Umm, Yea, that would never happen. But I hope all the new owners enjoy them.

Plenty of room behind the rocking chair

Screw the rocking chair, just put some chair pads on the Orbit Shifter!
The SubMersive1 is behind the rocking chair right now. I would have to move the SubMersive to the front of the room. I am not crazy enough to try and put a submersive and an orbital shifter in a room that is 1000cf. But again, I have no doubt that they really slam.

Now I know that subwoofers can look beatiful. I like the look a lot!
Man the OS looks mighty capable!
Wow Jeff

Very cool. Those are monsters!! Those look even bigger than my BDEAPs (which barely fit behind my screen).

Congrats!

They are all that. I thought my dual Captivators and dual Danley TH-SPUDS was the ultimate bass experience but the OS's take it to another level.

I watched Kick Ass last night and the OS's definitely Kicked Ass. Demo quality DTS HD/MA 7.1 audio and a fun rental.
