RMK.. Seriously? Dual OS! Lol.. I've been lurking around the DIY section for some time. Now those guys are nuts.. Jeff also mentioned that there are a few owners out there with quad S2's. So I don't think it's that bad..

It's not bad ... but it is ridiculous as are my dual OS's. Welcome to the crazy, stupid, over the top bass club (almost) smile.gif

I dunno ... the more I think about it, the more reasonable it sounds. cool.gif

Oh, and I agree with rhed, those DYI guys are nuts. tongue.gif

What you thinking about bro? Thinking of adding more subs up front stage?biggrin.gif Dual S2 maybe?biggrin.gif If you do, you definitely be officially insane! eek.gifbiggrin.gif. Maybe there should be a separate tread. For the insane and crazies posting pictures of their sub set ups. I'm sure there will be lots of members here. That's kind of in the dark yet not telling how many subs there running. Man, imagine that, dual OS and dual S2. biggrin.gif That's kind of setups guys like popalock would recommend..eek.gif

I am planning a GTG at my house sometime in October/early Nov., no firm date yet but I will start a thread for those inerested. Today I just purchased a balanced minidsp to better eq and time align my subs to dial thing in better for that event. Cinci is not that far away so you could always come to that.

As fun as that would be to try, it isn't going to happen. I am very happily over bass'ed as it is wink.gif. I have the perfrct room and situation for an IB set up and if I felt the need to change (I don't), that would be the option I might consider. Even then, it would only be due to the challenge of doing it myself.

Even 1 OS is more than enough, spl wise, and I would get another just for evening out reason. That, and it also bothers me that my room is not symmetrical due to only having 1.

Having two for smoothing is fine, but be aware that visual symmetry and room mode smoothing tend to be diametrically opposed concepts. In simpler terms, where sub bass is concerned what looks best seldom sounds best.

Thanks for the info Bill, but unfortunately I get some crazy OCD now and again that makes me have to have symmetry. Maybe I can get wife approval of a second one by stating I need it for a medical condition? biggrin.gif

Haha, I was just giving you a hard time about the acronym itself...

DYI vs DIY.

You know how I feel about your setup man! If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't change a thing... Your HT Build thread on the other hand, that could use a bit of organizing...haha

That would require some time and the inclination. I am of the belief that lessons hard learned, are best remembered ... tongue.gifwink.gif

Man, I agree... My most memorable lessons in business and life absolutely sucked...

The irony of those situations was that, even if someone would have been there to steer me in the right direction, I would have still been just as risk adverse...

Point being, sometimes it doesn't matter how much someone attempts to help, you still have to get that first hand experience for yourself.

There really is some terrific information available on this site. The problem is there is just so much info that it overwhelms most on first glance. It was much easier to navigate way back when I started in the hobby in 2002. Unfortunately, that didn't keep me from making lot's of mistakes along the way ...smile.gif

Deal of the century right there. I would have charged $20+ a demo after my shift.

12x13..yikes!!!! Might need to duct tape your eye balls in so the pressure from the sub doesn't cause any trips to the emergency room

Just ordered my quad S2's. Wanna say thanks to everyone in this forum and this tread for helping me with my decision. Also want to thank Jeff of JTR Speakers for he's service and pricing with shipping biggrin.gif so the wifey stopped freaking out on the cost. Oh yea, and she's happy now.smile.gif
Subs will be at my door step sooner then I thought. And will definitely post some pictures when it arrives. And what a privilege to be the first in Hawaii with these subs..
