LG PJ650 plasma - settings?

I recently purchased the 42 inch version of the LG PJ650 - and so far very pleased with it. Love the design, and the price tag...nonetheless

I've been fiddling with the picture settings, trying to churn out a reasonable picture quality (knowing that this model i low-end...i don't expect any miracles). I've looked at settings published for the tv's "younger brother" - the PQ6000 - and it is apparently recommendable to make use of the ISF Expert1/2 profiles.

However, the 2010 versions of LGs plasma tv's feature so many options for picture tweaking! - and i wondered if any of you guys know of any optimum settings for this tv? It would really help me a lot.

.. is this an European model; brief search appears its close relative of PJ350/PK550 .. check out member Mauri (Italy) fm PK550 thread. Also, you could try these; believe for PK550 model:

Thanks!

The first link/search you posted was really helpfull Some guy posted his settings following a Spyder2 calib.

I loaded his settings into the ISF Expert2 mode - which helps me compare them to my own tweaking

Also, yes - it's a European model (i live in Denmark).

You say the PJ is a close relative to the PK model? - do you know what the main differences are then? - besides HDready for PJ and FullHD for PK.

.. re: close relative; unsure of specifics, only echoing what a member mentioned during brief scan of the thread(s) i'd posted. sounds like a real nice 'entry-level' set; you should be happy, appears LG has really improved their makes this Year.

It really is a nice set, and i am very pleased with it...so far

I feed it different SD (576i) and HD (720p/1080i) material - and especially the HD material is handled quite well. I was actually surprised to se an entry level plasma tv set (sub £600) churn out such a nice picture! The SD material requires some picture-tweaking though. Fortunately the set offers an abundance of nobs and handles to turn

Haven't seen any real IR yet, though i have the set running with a high contrast and brightness - AND use my PS3 approx. an hour a day

I would surely recommend it!
