Note the Founding Companies in charge of HDMI (Sony, Panasonic, et al
). Mits is not in that group. I hardly think they had much say in the matter. That notwithstanding, it never hurts for a consumer
to ask for something they want. Whether they get it or not depends on many factors, such as customer satisfaction, company image, profit, and demand. If something is possible, there's enough demand for it, and there's money to be made, companies will respond.
