converting the dimensions of a box...

I have a rough plan for a subwoofer...and i am including it. This will go in my car and i want to change the dimensions to better fit a space. I need ti to be longer and more shallow...and the woofer and slot will be firing UP.

I included my rough changes in red....the 36" wide is a max...and the 8" or less height is a wish.

i just want to know if i can make the box fit...and i keep the port length the same...will i be OK?

Use this to calculate internal box size.

If its a few liters difference then it won't matter much.

You need to keep the internal volume the same and the port length and cross-sectional area the same. Do not make any dimensions too small or you will be altering how the air flows through the box, eg an air duct 1" tall and 10" wide will have a different flow rate than a square duct 3.16"x3.16".
