STS-01 towers vs Monitor Audio Silver RX vs KEF iQ70

Hello,

Has anybody heard the SVS STS-01 in action and how do they compare to the Monitor Audio Silver RS6 / now RX6 or the KEF iQ70?

Also it would be great if anybody has also heard the Focal Chorus 700 series or 800 series and how they compare? I can get the 816V at a very good price right now and they are narmally priced a step up from all of the above.

Here in Europe, they are similarly priced (STS may be slightly lower, but not by much) so it is a fair comparison cost wise - and it is not possible to audition the STS so would be grateful for any feedback from people who have heard them as well as the MA and / or KEF. Usage will be 50% movies / music in a 25 X 20 ft room.

My existing set-up is a KEF 3005 eggs with a SVS PC-12NSD sub driven by a Yamaha RX-V861 AVR. I am fairly happy with the set up but would like to upgrade the front 3 channels if it will make a big improvement and the above three are in my price range.

I have read both the reviews - there seems have been a bit of reaction the iQ70 review with several people disputing the low rating that WHF gave in the user comments section of the reviews.

anyway good to know that the MA BR has been good for you. to be honest, i think any of these would be an upgrade to my current set up, it is only that it is difficult making a choice precisely because there are so many good choices.

have you had a chance to hear the STS-01 speakers? if so how do they compare to some of the others that i mentioned in my original post (MA Silver, KEF iQ, Focal Chorus 700/800)?

although there are a huge no. of happy SVS subwoofer owners, i find that the speaker owners are not that many and hence it is difficult to find opinions / comparisons vs some of the other speaker manufacturers so any help you can provide in that respect would be great.
