I am curious too about LG's flagship model -- LG has really make great strides in the last two years.

Forget the drive to Ohio, I'm in Toronto as well. And I guarantee you didn't see the LG LE8500 at Future Shop because only Best Buy (same company) has it. Best Buy will also receive the LX9500 when it comes out, likely a few weeks after the Americans receive it, which I'm assuming is late May (so we Torontonians will receive it sometime in June). MSRP (CAD) $4500.00. I know for a fact BB is receiving it because the model # is already pencilled in their inventory.

At least one forum member has stated it's on display in his Best Buy, although he's been reluctant to state which store and one else has been able to confirm or offer their opinions on the thing.

Hopefully that means Chad will be able to do a review on this soon. I'd like to see a side by side comparison with the LE8500.

Audiotronic has 47'' model on their web site, with note 'Available in stores only'.
I've checked all local stores, and it is only in their computer system. No ones knows when will be in the store.

Damn... so there it is... confirmation the 9500 has the same zone banding issues as the 8500. I was afraid this would be the case, but I was hoping it would not. It bothered me on the 8500 so I know it will bother me on the 9500 too. This means it's off my list of possible TV upgrades.

Disappointing when I read that review yesterday that the review pretty much called it an 8500 with 3D and of course some cosmetic differences - the only way this gets interesting is if they actually do bring the 72" to market in N. America. Still may be an excellent panel but I think most of us were hoping for a much better review summary and so it's sort of a letdown and hopefully someone in LCD's can eventually steal Panny's 3D thunder via firmware or something or will they get it right in 2011.

Well, there goes my post about the LX9500 being available in June at Best Buy, because as of last night, the LX9500 isn't in their inventory list at all (asked the sales reps to check their computer inventory/list).

hey , ive had some trouble connecting my 55lx9500 via lan to my router. Just wanted to know what kind of lan wire does the tv require. Does it need a crossover or a straight through lan cable ? I tried connecting my pc to the router using the lan i bought , a sign pops up on the desktop saying limited or no connectivity. Later i realised that only a straight through cable goes into the router , but im still not sure what type of cable goes into the tv. If somebody could help me out , please enlighten me. Thnx
