I've been researching on this, and other sites, as well as reading discussions for other users, and narrowed down my choices to two, very similarly priced units. The stats are basically equal, so I need your guys help to make the final decision.
My use is for a single zone 7.1 system, with speakers that need less power than both these offer. I will be inputing HDMI signals from a BluRay player, FIOS TV, Xbox 360, and maybe a PC.
Quick links to their official pages: Denon AVR-2310CI
Onkyo HT-RC180
It seems to be general perception that Onkyo offers better "bang for the buck"; however, the Denon has superior upconverting units, and the Onkyo runs hot. I wish I could find some long-term tests.
Where I would be buying the units:
6Ave's Denon
One Call's Onkyo
Thanks for the input.
