So do they make All in once cards anymore?

Looking into building a MAME pc. While I am at it it would sure be nice to have a Video card that could put out 1080p and also accept HDMI in for capture. Is there anything out there like that?

No - everyone wnats HD now, but capturing video using HDMI is kinda not allowed.

ATi had brought back the All-In-Wonder briefly, though they never continued it.

So the AIW "HD" (which was an HD 3650) was the last one they made. Not sure about Nvidia but I think they discontinued theirs a long time ago (I think they called them "Personal Cinema" or some such).

Unfortunately even with the input kit (which took up another slot and was sold separately), the AIW HD was limited to S-Video input and stereo analog audio.

I've noticed that. Is it illegal? or too expensive to make? I'm assuming HDMI input wouldn't be that expensive to make and i don't think they could make it illegal. I understand not being able to copy from CEC devices but if a company could make it we could easily "hack" it to allow some CEC devices to work with it.

All 1080p content is transmitted in HDCP, a copy protection scheme. It is illegal to bypass this and it is part of the HDMI standard. No company is bothering with mass producing HDMI capture because you'd only be able to capture HDCP free content, such as from your camcorder.

Plus easier ways exist to copy. Since it is in 1080p and digital already, you're better off copying the source as-is and not degrading the source by re-encoding it on-the-fly.
