Very good setup!! I like your style in the office.

Those bamboo stands look cool. Are they solid or hollow? How heavy are they? Also, how are you running your speaker wire through them?

Hollow, 20 pounds each, speaker wire runs behind the blinds.

Why are 2 AVRs (as a pre-amp and power amp) better than 1 AVR?

Usually people do "separates" in order to isolate and use a better/cleaner/etc pre-amp and power amp.

Nice, clean looking setup by the way...

THANKS!

Mike

Not 2 AVRs, just one, the other is a stereo receiver.
The HK AVR 340 has only 55W per channel, and the stereo 3485 120 W per channel, delivering much more power to the front towers.
