is their any more information on vizios 2010 3d tv line up
post #2 of 37
There is no such thing as an 'led' HDTV. It's an LCD with led lighting.
When you say "any more information" if would help if you provided links to the latest information that you do have.
I agree with Ken H. that when referring to HDTVs using LCD technology there are 3 possible terms:

-LCD refers to aa HDTV using LCD technology with a CCFL backlight source.
-LED Edge-lit LCD refers to an HDTV using LCD technology with LED lighting around the edge of the screen which makes it thin
-LED backlit LCD refers to an HDTV using LCD technology that employs LED lighting arranged in zones behind the LCD screen. This technology allows for dynamic zoned backlighting which will increase contrast levels since it can shut off the light source for areas that are completely black.

No - the only info we have is what was released at CES 2010. You can see my Buyers Guide for the link in the sticky on this forum.

So what is the purpose of your "official" thread if you know that there is an existing thread allready about the 2010 Vizio LCD TVs that you could have asked your question in?

I think they are wondering why you would start a thread about a product that isn't going to be available for another 3 to 4 months.

The reason why Vizio is absent from 3D Central is because of Vizio. They made a lot of noise at CES and we have heard ZIP about their plans since - over 5 months later.

Yes - on paper they look very good. We can only wait for them to make some announcements, then when the product hits the stores - see if the images match the specs.

Me? No. I am a fan of the Panasonic VT25 3DTVs because they are Plasma based and not LCD based like the Vizio (and others) is/are. Just a personal preference.

Thanks for creating this thread, I to am interested to see what the new vizio's have to offer. If the price sticks at 3500 for 72 inch, 3d, wireless hdmi, 480hz...sounds like good value.

Still all talk til we actually get to see some concrete stuff. Anyone have any CES impressions on this set??

Your welcome i might take my samsung back it is a very nice tv but i said i was gone wait for vizios 3dtvs to come out and make my decision. The vizio seems to have more features but samsung seems to have better support for their tvs and the style is nice.

Actually that is not the remote that ships with 72" set. The remote for the 72" will have a pull out (horizontal hard button) qwerty keyboard. Much like the one below

Is there a link? I'll wait for the 72" and see what people think of it before doing anything impulsive.

I'd like to see a link as well. I've never seen it confirmed one way or the other.

Its marketing states "Utilizing Sensio 3D technology to deliver 3D content over 2D infrastructure..." I have no idea what that means, but I don't think it's 2D to 3D conversion and I couldn't find anything else that referred to actual conversion so I have my doubts.

Latest news that I am aware of. Came from that CES show in NYC at the beginning of the summer:

We actually have that Vizio Wireless Router referenced at the end of the article. So far happy with it.
