HELP!!! 57F510 - No magic focus + bad convergence + no DCAM?

Small dillema here...

I have a Hitachi 57F510 TV. The convergence is pretty poor and I'd like to correct it. Unfortunately, I have a couple of issues...

1) The magic focus doesn't work. I press the button and it just jumps to the 9 point convergence screen. When I hit EXIT on the remote, it asks me to enter a number - 1=Done, 2=Back, 3=Reset, 0=Cancel. How do I get the magic focus back?

2) I can not get into DCAM mode no matter how hard I try. I used the remote - held TV and pressed Menu, then Info, then released TV. No luck. I can't use the magic focus method, since magic focus doesn't work.

I can get into the service menu by using Info/Power on the TV

Can anyone suggest how I can resolve these issues???

I would suggest first doing a 9 point covergence and then a 117 point covergence. To do these you do not need to be in DCAM mode.

Let the set warm up for at least 30 min before doing this. then go to setup and do the covergence. If you need to do a DCAM covergence after doing it through user menu then the easiest way to go into DCAM mode is by pressing the small blue button in the inside of the tv near the focus pack. Do not touch the nobs marked as screen, these will change your garyscale.

Convergence is done, but that still does not address the lack of Magic Focus.

I've seen several posts stating that there needs to be an "initialization" done, but I can't find any instructions on how to do it. None that work, anyhow.

If you know how to do DCAM you really don't need magic focus. if you changed something through DCAM and saved it your manual adjustments is in lue of magic focus. Once you have it perfectly aligned you can check it via the user menu setup and correct it there if it drifts.

You do not need magic focus and I would not use it even if it would be available to you. In my set I have the mirrors and the wiring cover with black tape to reduced reflection. Your manual adjustments are more precised than what magic focus can do.

If you know how to do it manually DO NOT USE magic focus.

Here is a picture of my screen.

Problem is that I'm selling the TV and don't want anyone complaining that it's "broken."

Also, I can't get into DCAM mode at all with my current remote, nor with the buttons on the TV. I just want to be sure I haven't missed anything.
