Which best: "PCM ONLY","DOLBY Digital/PCM",or "STREAM/PCM"

I have a older dvd player with these 3 options:
"PCM ONLY"
"DOLBY Digital/PCM"
"STREAM/PCM"

I am using a fiber connection for audio, and my receiver is top notch Elite series with all the dolby options. I am looking for best sound out of those 3 settings.. My speaker setup is 5.1, so most dvds will have dts the most, which one is for me?

I'd guess STREAM/PCM, which would appear to be the setting that will bitstream both DD 5.1 and DTS. What does the manual say? What happens when you try each one?

Stream/PCM seems to be working the best. When playing DTS sources the first two play in 2 front channels, when Stream/PCM is chosen, all DTS materials play flawlessly. I guess experimenting is best way to learn thing or two. Thank you for the help!!

"PCM ONLY" - The decoder on your DVD player decodes audio.
"DOLBY Digital/PCM" - The decoder on your DVD player will decode audio.
"STREAM/PCM" - The decoder on your AVR will decode audio.

The third option is the best.
