Can I use 2 Tivo boxes, one subscription and stream between the 2?

Well, that was a long title and it pretty much sums it up.

I'm looking at getting away from Comcast. I'll be getting FIOS internet and TV. There's a deal on some clearance / refurb Series 3 boxes. So, here's my question:

If I buy two of them and hook one up to my main TV for recording (while paying subscription fees), can I hook the other box up, not pay a subscription and placeshift my TV recordings?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!!

Short answer No.

Slightly longer answer: Practically all TiVo S2s, and all TiVo S3s, HDs, and Premieres, are practically useless without an active subscription. They're sold at such a low price that the only way TiVo has a chance of breaking even on even some of the boxes is to require subscription for use. Even then, they still don't get enough of the boxes to stay in paid service long enough to make up for how low the price is on the boxes.
