For the ending too.
I think Ms Bingham has a very bright future in front of her,
Certainly a breakout performance this season.
+1! Bingham's performance of Farewell Daddy Blues
was heartbreaking. Bingham is a wonderful singing actress. Should the mood move her, she would have a great career on Broadway I think. The tying up of the threads of multiple characters during the song was brilliant. The fight between Eli and Tolliver/Knox in Eli's living room was great television, in a class with Chalky's fight with Dunn Purnsley, which ended only when Daughter stabbed Dunn in the back as Dunn was about to kill Chalky. Seeing the awful Tolliver get his just deserts in a suitably grizzly way was deeply satisfying.
The fantasy scene showing Richard riding the train to Wisconsin, and greeting his wife, this time with a whole face was heartbreaking, as was his, real this time, quiet death beneath the Boardwalk.

I was about convinced that at the end Nucky wasn't going to kill Eli. I thought he understood Eli's dilemma. Can"t dismiss the idea that Nucky would have gone through with it, though. Nucky is a cold fish and eliminating Eli would have ended any possibility of another betrayal.
Here is a link to an interesting Grantland
piece about the season finale, by Andy Greenwald. Although Greenwald had dropped the show for a while, he changed his mind, caught up, and loved the season finale. Read the whole thing, it's worth the investment. Despite how wonderful it would be to see Narcisse dead, I look forward to seeing him again next season as Hoover's undercover bitch. That, along with still not knowing where Daughter is, may be punishment enough for the awful Doctor Narcisse.
