my prediction for this season's final scene...Nucky sitting in a room by himself contemplating everything that just went down...we will see flashbacks to him tipping off Masseria etc and the season ends with a close up shot of him smiling
I bow to superior analytical skills.
Having Owen "boxed" while Nuck had an ironclad alibi makes sense, but Margaret knows he could just say the word and Owen would have been dust anytime anywhere.
If Nucky knew about their relationship, I doubt he would keep Margaret around for a minute longer.
Why would Nuck send the guy to the Chicago Mob on a war planning mission (or was it a ruse maybe)?
Knocking out Rothstein would mean he would have to deal with Luciano/Lansky and there is some real friction there.
It's true Masseria wasn't into having a war with Nuck and Arnold, but Rosetti is a fellow Sicilian and we have seen Masseria is a major bigot.
I am not so sure he would sacrifice Gyp to Nuck.
OTOH, Masseria doesn't need much of a reason for taking out Gyp.
