These are in preparation for my basement HT project that I'll start hopefully soon. My plan is to have TLAHs for LCRs and maybe for surrounds using less drivers. THT for the low end of course.
I have the plans for the Bill Fitzmaurice TLAH and THT. I've been working on my wife's attic project for the last year and couldn't stand it any longer. I finally built something.
I CNC'ed the LCR baffles and side pieces, but you could easily use a jigsaw.
The rest was cut on the table saw. The build is really quick with an air brad nailer and the polyurethane glue. There are only 5 pieces of wood, but a bit of wiring with all of the drivers. I decided on eight JVC 3x5s and six 1016 piezos so the total for each box is $22! I'm told the piezos need EQing, which I do agree with. Hopefully I'll have a receiver with Audyssey soon.
I started this am and have one functioning speaker already. I could have another couple in 2 more hours, but I'll do that in a day or two.
Oh, and it sounds pretty nice! I'm not an expert, but I don't think you can beat it for the price. I get good output at about 1/10 with just one, so all three at max would be hearing damage levels.
