Next thing I'd wait for is to have 5.1 sound for netflix streaming on roku

Got the update and it's working great for me. Finally!

"In theory" Netflix should work best on Roku, since that is the box's raison d'ĂȘtre. It's nice that things are actually working out "in practice", that Roku is continuing to improve their box.

OT: Here's a hint for when you want to sound like a city slicker that knows fancy French phrases. I didn't know how to spell that phrase. So I googled "reason de etre". Google does a really good job with misspellings, so the 3rd hit was the correct entry in wictionary. From there, it was just a small matter of cut/paste! It's a great technique to get fancy accent marks into the text; I don't know how to do that any other way.

Yes it is phased. There was only a few hours on Friday where the window was open for 2.6. They will start rolling the firmware again in waves this week. Supposedly starting Tuesday.

I went into the settings on ROKU yesterday and asked to update. The new update was found and installed.

This is the greatest innovations in some time. Now there is hardly a reason to ever leave the couch!!

This new update is awesome. Well, once I can get it to work. I did get the update automatically...but it didn't want to take me into my Netflix queue. I'll try tomorrow though.

A note about updates...just for the heck of it I went into the Channel Store. There is a LOT of new stuff since I looked in there a month or so ago...including Nasa TV, some Internet radio channels (including one called Radiotime that carries LOCAL channels, local to me that is, or to any subscriber...VERY cool), and more. Much of it is free, too. This is quite awesome. (OK I admit I do love my technology toys...LOL)
