Any Owners? Samsung PN50C430 or PN42C430?

With the C430's being at such a good price point lately, I am thinking about springing for one as my "auxiliary" TV.

I am interested in any owners comments regarding these models, and especially what your opinion is on the reflections. No plasma truly will eliminate reflections, but I'd like to know how well the Samsung does.

Samsungs claim: "Ultra Clear Panel absorbs ambient light and virtually eliminates reflections so there are no distractions." I also read something about the 430 having more of a matte finish on the screen vs. the 450, but can't find anything to confirm this officially.

I'd also be interested in what settings you've come up with for optimal viewing and sound.

Thanks.

Bought one recently for my mom, figuring she was not hyper critical and that it would be an improvement over her old tv.

Got the thing from Amazon at a great price with free delivery. Hooked it up and was blown away with the picture quality. High def on this set looks better than on my 1080p DLP set and my 42" LCD.

Stunning is the only word I can use for the HD picture.

Three issues with this set:

1. 720p vs 1080p - not a factor. Can't tell a difference unless you look at what you pay for the set.

2. Buzz - Not much on the set we got. Slight noise with bright screens, but any volume above 2 on the set drowns out the noise.

3. Glare - The screen is very reflective, but, in the room I put the set in this was not a factor. Seemed to control light reflections very well, even though looking at the screen you would think it would be like a mirror.

Overall, awsome set for the price. Look at the reviews at Amazon. Both screen sizes are very positive.

I bought the 42" in the early fall for ~400 on sale here in Canada.

A question though, for anyone who may have one:

I cant seem to access the zoom function - it is greyed out in the menu.

Im using a DVI-HDMI cable from my Shaw (Motorola) HD-PVR.

Any thoughts? is it the DVI-HDMI that is the problem?
