Samsung HLP6163 - Video Problem

I am hoping someone out there can help me with two problems I am having. When I turn on my TV, the video goes crazy. The images will be scrambled and jumping all over the place until the TV has been on for about 30 minutes and then it will be just fine. This happens everytime the TV is turned on.

Some background, I had to replace the lamp and then the color wheel about a year ago. The second problem started about a year ago roughly after the color wheel was replaced. I now get six wavy vertical lines on the screen that are roughly equally spaced. They tend to be more visible with certain colors specifically a green when watching football. Any ideas on the cause of either of these?

Thanks

Can you post a screen shot?
I would obtain the SM for starters.

There is a very high probability the lines are being caused by a defective DMD board. But the scrambled picture is puzzling. So here is what you can do. First clean the inside of the TV free of dust & mold with a small can of compressed air and a small vacuum. This is so can discard overheating. If this doesn't fixes the problem, try bring up the TV menu, if the menu is displayed correctly with out any problem then I would bet my money on the digital or analog video board. If the TV menu is also affected then you would need to buy a new DMD board.

Do NOT use compressed air!

All that does is blows around the dust only to settle elsewhere. Use a small unused paintbrush to loosen the dust with the hose of a canister vacuum cleaner in your other hand with a crevice tool or small round brush attachment to 'remove' the dust as opposed to just 'moving' it elsewhere.
