Subs with dual level controls for spkr & line in?

Would appreciate hearing of any subwoofers other than REL/B&W that provide separate gain adjustments for speaker and line inputs.

TIA

The only others I know of are the BK Electronics and MJ Acoustics offerings.

Thanks - it seems to be an exclusively British feature. Unfortunately, BK and MJ Acoustics products don't seem to be available in USA.

I really like the idea. I wish more companies would use it. It really adds flexability to the connections and setup.

I believe Martin Logan subwoofers also have that capability

The ML subs don't have it.

Found that the MJ Acoustics subs are available stateside, just not widely distributed, and at about twice (gulp) the price as in the UK.

Looks like REL or B&W it shall be.

My mistake, I thought this is what you were after. This is a cut and paste from the ML site

Comprehensive Inputs and Outputs with Simultaneous-Connection Option

Grotto i provides a direct, unfiltered LFE input for connection to surround preamp/processors and receivers with built-in subwoofer crossovers as well as line- and speaker-level stereo inputs that connect to its internal crossover. The LFE and stereo inputs can be connected simultaneously with separate level and crossover settings for each, enabling precise optimization for home-theater and stereo music playback in the same system. For those who desire a multiple subwoofer setup, line-level outputs include a mono jack that carries the sum of all inputs. Further, stereo outputs pass a signal from the stereo inputs either directly or through switch-selectable high-pass filters.

Ducky, I also read that on the ML site and it just doesn't match the controls on the sub and the downloadable manual contents. There's only a single level control visible on the cabinet and that's also clearly indicated in the manual instructions.

Hmmmm. Yeah, it says that but there is only one level control knob on the sub. And no mention of it (that I could see in briefly perusing it) in the manual.

It does go to '11', though!

Extended-Range Master Level Control

Crave a little heavy-metal thunder from time to time? Ordinary level controls top out at '10'; ours goes to '11'!

LOL.... They should market stickers for the level controls and for the really insane guys, stickers that go even higher.
