Spend another 50-60 dollars and go with boxee box or if you can wait until December boxee box may get new hard ware. Bottomline is, it depends on what you are playing, if 1:1 bluray iso backups wdtv is no good.

So you only hear DTS 5.1 from DTS HD MASTER?

The WD will take in a rip with DTS-HD and bitstream the DTS Core. That used to bother me (and actually still does, just because) but then I used a player that bitstreams DTS-HD and determined that I can't hear the difference -- they both sound equally good on my audio rig which is pretty decent.

Question, is it possible to set the wdtv to play files back with specific settings. for a group of files?
For like Anime's with dual audio and subtitle tracks could i put a file in the folder that the wdtv would read and play back all files with those settings?

Could someone find out why the wdtv don't plays DTS HD MA on most files?

WDTV IS PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF PLAYING DTS-HD MA.

You can verify this, playing all the Demo DTS blurays.

In all of them it is perfectly capable of bitstreaming DTS-HD MA !!

How to hack wdtv to watch any file in DTS-HD MA ?

The Live plus does not have a license to bit-stream DTS-HD and it never will.
End of story.

What on earth are you talking about? You can't do anything but output the DTS lossy core end of story, really.

I assure you that I am correct as are the others in this thread telling you the same exact thing but for the sake of this humorous discussion what is the rest of your setup and how do you know you are getting DTS-MA.

I dont need demos I have files that have true unaltered DTS-MA and the only audio the WDTV out puts is lossy DTS., both my Live+ and my SMP.

There is a menu in all of them. You can choose play all, or the song you want.
I don t know if it is the only menu
When i m watching this bluray i have to click stop and the play again , and restart to acess the menu again
I ll try to find a full iso movie next days to see how it works
I heard that menus don t work on wdtv
I m not sure of this yet

Thanks but I don't do torrents. Still, you could tell us which of the files from demo-world bitstreams HD on your SMP so people can verify this on their AVRs.

I have the DTS BLURAY MUSIC DEMO DISC 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
