Im a noob and need some help bad!!!

I just bought a Sony Bravia EX500 40" and I'm having some trouble finding good picture settings. I'm trying to run a Xbox 360 through HDMI and I'm having a really hard time getting a good picture. I was wondering if anyone had any settings that they use and could share. I'm hoping that its not the T.V. because so far I am not impressed with the picture quality, but then again im an HD virgin and honestly have no clue what the heck im doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks,
Dave

There's probably a thread dedicated to this series.

Suggest searching some.

Whats wrong with the picture? Did you set the TV to view in widescreen mode? Did you also set the 360 settings correctly.

Thanks, I'll check some threads.

The picture seems kind of grainy/blurry/blocky. The standard game setting is terrible, the blur is awful. I tried a bunch of stuff myself with little luck. I have the 360 setup running 1080p.

oh and the tv is set to "full pixel" because thats the only setting that showed the entire screen.

How is the picture when watching regular TV or a Bluray?

What cables are you using.

Have you read the owners manual?
