Service Manual for Mitsubishi WS-65711

Just picked up a WS-65711 from Craiglists for cheap. Didn't know the model number going in, just knew it was a 65" Mitsu RP. Anyway, I was hoping for a TV with 2 1080i connections, and possibly a DVI. I didn't get it. I did notice that when I hooked up a 1080i device to the component inputs, it would recognize the 1080i input, just not show it. Is there any upgrade I can do to enable 1080i on those connections, or will I just need to pick up a component switcher?

Also, can anyone point me to a service manual? The image isn't centered; when I see the errors regarding inputs or power, the right side words are slightly chopped off. I want to know if I can adjust the picture a bit.

Just wanted to say THANKS! to Craig for making that service manual available. I have a Mits WS-B55 that has developed an issue with the picture horizontal sync. It's causing an X-Ray Protect code and it's looking like a problem with the main board, somewhere in the sync pulse generation circuitry. Thanks to the service manual, I've got it down to that level.

Anyways, like I said, just wanted to say thanks!

I would think all the writen Manuals would of perished for that TV by now

Actually it will be easy to find, Sams Photofact released it back in the day, and I've already found an ebay seller that has one. parts shouldn't be too hard to find either.

troubling thing for me is we just came back from being away for 5 days, and found the TV (Mitsu WS 65711) will not turn on. Resetting it gives the 70 seconds of fast green LED, but nothing after that. Holding the device and menu buttons down does not give an error code - nothing. Thoughts?

I've had a 73711 with flashing green light for a few seconds then nothing, its a convergence chip? on main board it is attached to the largest heat sink in tv center board also a few fuses (little chip style not glass fuses) can go out. very repairable if that is what it is .

Disconnect the front panel buttons from the TV. There is a wire behind that front panel that can be disconnected. Usually when this happens it means that one of the buttons has gone bad and is shorted. With the buttons disconnected try turning the TV on with the remote. It will probably work as this happens all the time.

I had the same problem, with some google searching, a few hours of pulling things apart the problem was resolved........then I went and bought a plasma.
