Choosing a budget 37 inch LCD

I'm looking for a 37-inch LCD that has 1080p capabilities and I'm trying to stay within a budget of $550 (maybe $600). This LCD will be placed in a bedroom and used mainly for PS3 gaming, but will be connected to a PC via HDMI and used to watch some TV as well. The room lighting is not completely dark, but I would say is moderately bright.

I just bought a VIZIO VO370M and it's ok (except for the cheap tuner), but I was wondering if I could do better if I increased my budget a little. I saw some threads about this topic, but they were a couple years old, so I'm looking for more updated information.

Thanks for any help.

Toshiba and lg will typically give you the most bank for your buck in a name brand tv but I dont have a problem with vizio for a budget tv. I think a few manufacturers have stopped making the 37". I could be wrong.

Right now, for exactly that amount, at Sears you can get the Panasonic TC-L37U22. For $25 more you can get the 42" model.

Yeah I forgot about panasonic. It should certainly be on your short list in a 37" size.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Panasonic certainly looks good.

How about the LG 37LD450?

The VIZIO is ok, I like the color reproduction, although the motion seems a bit subpar to me compared to the old CRT I had before (but I could just be imagining things). I'm still pondering the trade I made between image quality of the CRT versus resolution improvement (and smaller size footprint) this LCD gives me.
