Is HDMI 1.4 Cable needed for connecting to AverTV HD DVR

Guys:

I know a couple of people have been able to get the DirecTV ESPN3D to display on AverMedia HD DVR card. I have hooked up the card to my pc and I am able ot get regular HD Channels but when I switch to 106 it says I need a 3D capable display. Only thing that may be an issue is that I am probably not using an HDMI 1.4 cable. Could this be the problem?

No. DirecTV needs to see a compatible TV/EDID.

Thanks. I am going to pick up one of those and hope over to Best Buy and grab an EDID.

I got stereoscopic player working with 3DFier decoder for stereoscopic player so that I can auto convert all the 2D channels to 3D. Pretty impressive.
