"Covert Affairs" on USA HD - Page 13

Respectfily, incredibly sick of Wilcox. Annie didn't shoot him in the head and he of course will be coming back.
"It matters how you found me" I love looking at Piper, but not so much if Henry is back again. He's back, I'm
gone for good. There is enough in the world without Henry

i completely understand everyone's sentiments regarding henry. but was (is?) a great nemesis.

I groaned when Annie walked away without shooting Henry in the head. Although we saw three shots enter Henry's chest in the heart area and they all bled, does anyone alive think that TV thriller writers would hesitate for an instant to bring Henry back? Very disappointing. Although I continue to rather like Covert Affairs, it seems to me that it is fast approaching its sell by date. Annie needs to ditch the black hair. It makes her look tired and a lot older than she looks as a blonde.

I yelled aloud "head shot" three times. The wife says 'enough already!' smile.gif

I did basically the same. Except I yelled " A professional would make sure with a head shot! Be a professional" three times.

That said, it's quite possible this was a 'Standards and Practices' decision because it would be too graphic. A head shot like that would be VERY messy, and they would be unlikely to show the body afterward without seriously changing the show's ratings. It's not 'The Walking Dead'.

How come this is not the ABC's of the world and not over the air. I see a lot of blood even there, how about CSI, and then there is Sons of Anarchy or as the say Sam Crow, lots of blood plus there to.

Every network has different standards, and those standards will be different even according to the time the show airs, i.e. an 8PM show on ABC will have different standards than a show airing at 10PM, because its more of a family hour.

Another viewer who yelled for a head shot as she strode past the body.

Yep, me too.

He looked pretty dead to me.... just saying.

It also seems like a logical time to move on to a new storyline with the new season.

I agree that it is past time to move on from Henry Wilcox. That being so, though, then why create the slightest ambiguity about whether Annie's shots really killed him? One head shot would have ended the inquiry but we didn't get a head shot. Given the well known propensity of TV writers to resurect presumably dead characters and recycle them, I just can't believe that Henry is as dead as the proverbial Wicked Witch. If the show lasts long enough and it becomes desirable to bring Henry back, I haven't the slightest doubt that we will see more of him. Shame on the show's writers!

Yep, shame on them for leaving themselves an out. I agree.

Also, count me in on those of us who thought "and one to the head" as Annie stepped over/around his body. I mean, come on. If you're going to take him out, do it right.

Wow, if you want dramatic head shots, this week's Blacklist was your show. Holy cow.
