Hi guys,
I am in market to replace my Samsung F4661 1080p LCD. I want to move to a 55" or 60" set
I have narrowed down to 3 choices
Philips 55pfl5505 LCD
LG 60PK550 Plasma
LG 55LD520 LCD
Samsung LN55C610 LCD
Internet connectivity is not that important to me, the Philips and LG above do not have the Samsung does. I am in Canada and want to keep price under the $2G mark and this is where the Philips shines. Locally it is $1500
I can not find any reviews on the set but was told it is an LG panel since they own Philips. I am wondering if it can automatically scale BR to 24fps so it is seen as intended. I believe the Samsung & LG scale 24hz to properly play dvds.
The LG is what I want but I have a bit of concern of glare even though my viewing room is or can be darkened easily, but I would hate to own it and later curse glare which reviews seem to say is an issue but they praise the price point and overall it gets a decent grade.
Appreciate feedback as I gotta buy soon
