LG37LH30: best way to hook up headphones

A basic LG, the 37LH 30 has only one Toslink audio digital output.

I have a coax antenna input (no cable box) and two DVD players: one is a Blu Ray DVD plyer, and one is a DVD Recorder.

What is the most cost efficient or least expensive way of using a wireless headphone to hear the audio output from all sources?

The LG37LH30 has only one audio output: a Digital audio out with Toslink. Supposed newer models may have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Not this model, sorry to report.

IS there an inexpensive device that will allow the audio to go through the device to a headphone?

There are some very expensive wireless systems that accept a digital input and can decode Dolby Digital/DTS and other formats internally. Examples of this kind of device would include the Audio-Technica ATH-DWL5000, Pioneer SE-DRS3000C, and Sony MDR-DS7100.

The more elegant solution would use one of those devices, connected to the digital output from your TV. A somewhat more "middle ground" solution would involve a separate decoder (such as the Technics SH-AC500D or SH-AC300) or more simplistic digital to analog converter (such as the CI Audio VDA-2) between the TV's digital output and the analog input on a wireless headphone system.

Thank you. Must find a less expensive solution if there is one.

But you have lit my thinking cap and that is good, as I am now learning more about the correct questions to ask.

One solution may be the following:

GTV-DD-2-AA GefenTV Digital Audio Decoder, a device that runs about $100.

It will be tested in coming days.
