The scene was set for a lot of great stuff in this season's premiere. Tywin's continuing hostility toward and mistreatment of Tyrion will certainly end up causing the same kind of trouble for Tywin in the show as it did in Martin's book. Speaking of impending death, I can hardly wait for the stupid, vicious, and craven, Joffrey to get his just deserts. Of course, as we have seen in previous seasons, there is no guarantee that the screenwriters won't make changes to Martin's plot.
Anyway, I couldn't be more delighted that Game of Thrones
is back and am really looking forward to the rest of what promises to be another great season.
Besides some missing characters in a few places, what was changed? I didn't recall anything drastically changed to make the story different?
Also, the bit with Sam, I thought we were at the point in the book where Mormont was dead, so did they not kill him off, or has it not come yet in the show? If I recall the book killed him off at the fist during the revolt or when the others came.
