Dune won't see Windows 7 shares. Help!

Thread Starter
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

I have 2 - 1 TB drives. One for DVD's and one for Blu-Rays.

I ripped a couple of DVD's onto my 'E' Drive in the folder 'DVD'

I tried to share 'DVD', and the Dune didn't see it. I disabled Windows Firewall, enabled Guest account. My Windows XP laptop can see the shared folder, but not the Dune.

When I had an XP desktop, the Dune could see everything I shared. Not true with Windows 7!

Someone help me! Please send me to a step-by-step process on how to get the Dune to see the Windows 7 shares.

Uninstall MSN Messenger Live Sign-in Assistant from all pcs on the network. It works for a lot of the realtek chipset media players, may work for sigma stuff too

when you say the dune doesn't see it, are you talking about when using the network browser on the dune, or are you trying to create a shortcut to it on the home screen, or both? my dune has also never seen my win7 shares, when using the network browser. home screen shortcuts work fine though, and me personally, thats what i prefer to have anyway.

I used these instructions: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=63116

After these my Dune Prime 3.0 showed the shared folders in the network browser right away.
