Hi,
So why does everytime I shut off my computer that is connected to the Yamaha rx-v667 that it switches from 1080p to 480p (the violin screen). I think that because of the switch from 1080p to 480p that it always misarranges my desktop icons. Is there a way to make the standby screen 1080p rather than 480p?
Another question is that when I set my computer to 5.1 surround in the Control Panel Audio in Windows 7, I could only get PCM, and when I set the computer to Stereo I am able to get Dolby Digital Music, Dolby Digital Movie, and so forth. Why is this? Is it because I only have 3.1 channels (front x2, center, sub)?
And when I am in 5.1 surround in Control Panel, the sound produced is significantly quite than if I was in stereo. Is it because my speakers (B&W CM1 and CMC 2) have a low sensitivity?
Also I seem to not be able to feel the thump and the lows of my sub (Polk Audio PSW505) until I set it to 120hz and I also have to set in the control panel to +4db to hear the lows. Isn't it suppose to be at 80hz that I could also hear the lows, but in my case I can barely hear it much less feel the thump.
Can anyone please teach me how to calibrate my Yamaha Rx-V667. I swear I know I am doing something wrong.
Thanks.
