Plasma fans show off your plasma setup here!! - Page 4

Nothing wrong with that I know where you are coming from

Electrostats must be something else, I've never had an opportunity to hear a pair myself.

Here is my 50G20 sorry for the poor pic quality. I know the sub shouldn't be under my speaker & my fronts aren't at the same height but it sounds pretty good overall.

But I'm starting to think my wiring isn't all that bad......

Tell me about it. She'll be 1 yr at the end of this month and she's running around like a maniac. Everyday I come home from work I see about 10-20 new little hand prints on my plasma's screen.

If you don't care about things like proper sound staging. Headphones have their place and I do spend some money on my headphone setup with a proper headphone amp, but no headphone setup can ever match the overall sound experience one gains from a properly set up speaker system. Music and movie soundtracks are ALL mixed together with the intent of having the material played through speakers. I even have a classical performance recorded through a mic positioned in a mock human head to try to reproduce as best as possible the musical experience through speakers and it's still not the same.

I do care about proper sound staging. Dolby Headphone gives a good enough approximation for me on movies where I think it's necessary, though I prefer a simple downmix to 2ch. I will have to eventually get some speakers of course, as since I've gotten this 60" I can't keep my friends away... But I'll stick to my headphones when I'm alone

I hear ya man, I loved my old Panny 47" until I saw the picture on this new G25! Attaching a picture of the old TV to show the "before" setup.

Get out a measuring tape and position those speakers!

It takes a few minutes at worst and the difference will be night and day. Even if they aren't flush with the display it will be much better than having one on the sub! Speaker + vibration = bad

Nice clean setup though.

Thank you. Really proud of how everything turned out. Just wish I have more time to enjoy it more.

The screen is a 60" Pioneer Elite Pro 141FD with ISF calibration done by D-Nice.

Do you like that stand? Now forgive me if I'm wrong here, but it looks to be similar/the same as the stand I saw in Wal-Mart and am thinking about getting. Also what size is that LG TV for reference?

It's okay I guess, just a cheapo stand, it does the job without looking too bad in the process.
That is the 60" LG 60PK550

On the back it says the top shelf is rated for 80 lbs. But I had my 160lb sony CRT on there with no problems lol. I think it can handle a 90lb plasma.

Hmm...maybe it is not the same stand I have seen locally for sale then if that is a 60" TV. The one I have looked at is only about 40" wide I think. But it does look just like that stand oddly enough.
