First audio set up, how's it look?

My dad recently asked me to look for a home theater system for our TV and was looking at Bose, but I told him to look elsewhere, so I did it for me. Anyways, the budget is a little over $1000, and here's what I came up with so far (with a little help online).

Receiver: Denon AVR-791 (or AVR-1991/Onkyo TX-SR608)
Front: Monitor Audio Radius 270 pair
Center: Monitor Audio Radius 225
Rear: Monitor Audio Radius 45 x2
Sub: Monitor Audio Radius 360

How does this look? I'm sure my dad won't be too picky, but I guess he wants to have a nice system to have.
Thanks!

it will be a nice system, but the $1,000 budget got left behind somewhere...

He loosely stated the term, haha. I priced it around $1,100 and he said ok, though he's still not 100% sure if he wants to buy it yet, so hopefully I didn't waste a bunch of time researching it.

Would the AVR-791 be sufficient, or should I go with one of the others?

Oh, also, my mom is looking into karaoke systems or something like that, and she has vcds/dvds with her music, so is there a way that I can just plug in mics or something and let her use that? She wasn't very specific on what she was looking for but I think that was all she wanted.

A HT receiver is much more complicated to operate properly than a Bose system. Are your folks fairly tech-savy, or was programming a VCR a challenge? If the latter, it’d probably be best to go with the Bose.
