Well, there is always that possibility that you see some amazing game that just totally blows you away, and you can't imagine yourself not playing that game.
I'm as cheap as they come, and I have to admit that there is always the possibility that I see something that just knocks my socks off, and I can't help myself. For me, it's usually seeing a totally next-gen NBA 2K or Madden game or something. New consoles are the one time when Tiburon and Visual Concepts will actually be forced to make a totally new game engine from scratch. They normally just keep using the same old engine, just refining it slightly, and adding a few new bells and whistles. When new consoles come out, they have to throw all that into the trash and start over from scratch. There is always that possibility that we see something totally amazing. If you have no interest in sports games, well it could happen in another genre as well..
I don't really feel like spending 1 grand this November buying two HD consoles, but I'm not going to say it's an impossibility. I might see something so amazing, that I just can't help myself.
